Maple nut Granola

I borrowed an amazing Clean Food cookbook from the library, we are trying out all new clean recipes!

Maple Nut Granola

4 cups organic rolled oats

2 cups organic brown rice cereal (rice crispies work too)

1 cup toasted sunflower seeds

1 1/2 cups toasted unsweetened coconut

1 cup almonds shaved or chopped

1/2 cup other nuts you have lying around

2 tbs cinnamon

3/4 cup canola oil

3/4 cup 100% pure maple syrup

1 tsp almond oil

Preheat over to 250

Mix all dry ingredients in a LARGE bowl

Whisk wet ingredients in small bowl, add to dry and mix until coated

Lay on parchment paper (on a baking sheet), and flatten with spatula

*The key to this is to cook on a low temperature (250) for a long time (60 minutes)*

Cool and place in air tight container, enjoy with soy milk or in yougart or just on it’s own!
