I lay down under a quilt of promise, stars encircle us a reminder of times of past. This poor quilt has aged, worn thread bare in places but still it gives us warmth, provides great comfort.
Faith reminds me of this quilt, thread bare and worn in places yet still bringing us peace, warmth and great comfort. Although I don’t understand this trial that rests at our feet, I will learn it’s song.
I will listen with great care and sing the song till my souls finds rest. For one day this quilt will come to pass over someone else, providing the same gentle care and warmth, and on that day I hope to have learned this song well enough to sing it clearly and confidently, for it is a song of beauty a song of grace, it is my song.
One day I shall sing it for you.
