One off my all time favorite things about summer is a mason jar full of freshly squeezed lemonade. My friend Alana makes the best lemonade I have ever had in my life… period. So if you’re looking for a new recipe to try here you go:
* 5-6 lemons, a spoon or juice(r), a glass jar for storage, some water and “real” maple syrup.
I like to roll out the lemons on the counter first, as they are much easier to squeeze that way. You want to make sure to remove the seeds (that’s the hardest part). I like having as much pulp as possible in my lemonade, but you can strain it more if you like.
After you have juiced and removed the seeds of the lemons you can add the water approximately 12 cups, or I just fill my glass jar 3/4 of the way to the top. Add 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup of maple syrup to taste, if too tart add more water or maple syrup. Fill a mason jar with some ice and enjoy this awesome combo of maple sweetness and lemony sourness. We love it over here, hope you do too!
